Webinar: Effective Virtual Meetings

This workshop is open for registration in the Atlas Learning Center, and is designed for all MIT Support Staff.

This workshop will cover the basics of effective virtual meetings. Participants will learn about the importance of an agenda, goals, roles, and clearly defined processes. They will also explore the difference between in-person and virtual meetings and identify and commit to ways they can and will contribute to better virtual meeting experiences and outcomes. Conducted via Zoom, this workshop will also highlight Zoom features that can enhance virtual meetings.

Participants who complete this workshop will be able to:

  • Describe the characteristics of an effective virtual meeting
  • Explain how each person in a meeting, no matter their role, can contribute to a successful meeting
  • Be intentional about how they show up in virtual meetings to help achieve better meeting experiences and outcomes
